The public awareness of the art and science of Dental Health Care has indeed increased. Thus, the need to be updated with modern dentistry and to be in pace with excellence in Dental Aesthetics has become a necessity for the Dental Surgeon today to cope with the increasing demand for advanced treatment options.
The SLAACD, by launching its new website, hopes to further extend its motive to promote and foster highly skilled and ethical practice of dentistry among the Dental Professionals of Sri Lanka.

Hon. President's Message
SLAACD has grown in stature since its inauguration in May 2003 by ten enthusiastic members.
The membership has grown to almost to 15 percent of the dental practitioners in Sri Lanka.
Encouraged by the participation at the workshops, SLAACD has been able to host its inaugural
annual sessions in 2004 successfully and repeat its success again in 2005.
It is time for us to widen our field of activity and thus we embark on our website.
Welcome to SLAACD site. Trust you will find this useful to enhance your knowledge and develop your practice. Links with other sites will help SLACCD to mature and its members to further their interest in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry.

On behalf of the Board or Governors, Welcome to the new SLAACD website ...
This is yet another attempt by the Academy to broaden its frontiers to bring together those who practice Aesthetic and Cosmetic dentistry and to encourage sharing of knowledge through education and friendship.
It is my wish that this venture on the World Wide Web will give an access to more resources to the members of the SLAACD as well as an international voice for the Academy.
In closing, I am delighted to welcome you again to the official site of SLAACD and look forward to your contribution to the improvement of the profession and welfare to the community.
